Founded in 1996, Johnston's Towing is a family-run operation based in Central Bedeque, serving Western PEI including Summerside, O'Leary, and Alberton. After acquiring Island Towing in 2012, the company grew to a fleet of ten flatbed trucks, and it uses flatbeds exclusively rather than wheel-lift equipment. A land-all trailer and heavy wrecker handle heavy-duty and machinery recovery, and the crew also transports buses, motorhomes, trailers, and small buildings across the island. Johnston's Towing is a contracted service provider for the major auto clubs, Strait Crossing Bridge Limited, and three local police departments. The compound office keeps regular hours, Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, while roadside dispatch runs 24 hours a day for emergencies. Drivers respond islandwide whenever a call comes in.
