Family-run Kitchener towing and recovery since 1967
Active Towing has operated out of Kitchener, Ontario since 1967, growing from a single service station and one light-duty truck into a multi-division operation after acquiring Frank's Towing in 1982 and Markle's Towing in 1993. The family-run company works alongside local police and fire departments and Auto Clubs, in addition to individual customers across the region. Its light-duty division covers vehicle entry, battery boosting, tire changes, fuel delivery, ditch recovery with 4x4 capability, and long-distance towing, with wreckers and flatbeds fitted with Century wheel-lift systems for damage-free hookups. On the heavy side, the fleet includes a 60-ton rotator, a 35-ton slider and a 25-ton hydraulic unit for large-vehicle breakdowns, accident recovery and crane work. A separate Tilt & Load division runs flatbeds and tarped float carriers for oversized and specialty cargo, and can help arrange permits for oversize loads. Technicians are Wreckmaster trained and certified, and the company says it's fully insured. Active Towing serves Cambridge, Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo and the surrounding Ontario region, positioning itself as a single call for anything from a dead battery to a heavy-truck recovery.
